PROJECT OWNER OR PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE

Objective

We apply all our technical expertise to support project owners and project managers in their technical decision-making at every stage of a project -whether to define a budget at the network level or to select appropriate construction solutions at the section level following design calculations.

DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT AND MONITOR MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES

Objective

As part of Project Owner (AMOa) or Project Management (AMOe) assistance, following the definition and prioritization of the works program, we support asset managers in developing, implementing, and monitoring their maintenance strategy.

By taking into account the client’s priorities as well as their constraints and requirements (technical, economic, environmental, social, and political), we propose several maintenance strategies and present their advantages and disadvantages. We also highlight the importance of considering specific parameters (such as commercial routes), enabling our clients to make informed decisions.

ESTIMATION OF CO2 CONSUMPTION

Objective

As part of our core values, we develop CO₂ (and Greenhouse Gas) emissions estimation services to ensure that environmental criteria are integrated into maintenance management decision-making.

Currently, at the scale of an infrastructure network, the two main criteria for selecting a maintenance strategy are budget constraints and network condition. We therefore propose adding a third environmental criterion by comparing different strategies -under a fixed budget constraint -based on their energy consumption.

ESTIMATION OF MAINTENANCE BUDGET

Objective

Once the prioritization of works has been defined over several years, and using unit prices for the selected solutions, we estimate the maintenance budget. In general, we rely on unit prices provided by the network manager to ensure the most accurate budget estimate possible.

ASSET MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE

Objective

Asset management support enables managers to identify the best possible optimizations over the entire lifecycle of their infrastructure. This asset management approach supports informed decision-making by considering the monetization of risks and all associated costs.

It also ensures alignment and consistency among the three key stakeholders: technical, political, and financial.

How?

This study is carried out in several stages:

      • Survey of pavement deformations and deterioration using high-performance equipment
      • Processing of collected data and updating of the database
      • Network assessment and rating
      • Consideration of traffic, weather, usage data, etc.
      • Optimization of maintenance solutions
      • Prioritization of works based on a defined budget

TRAININGS

Objective

We offer training courses to support infrastructure managers in infrastructure asset management. Some of the topics we cover include:

      • What is the role of an independent testing laboratory? The importance of external quality control
      • How to prepare a works tender dossier (DCE)
      • How to choose a maintenance strategy
