EXTERNAL CONTROL
Objective
The external control is carried out on behalf of the Project Manager by an independent company separate from the one executing the works. Its purpose is to ensure that the diagnosis and recommended work determined before the implementation of the works are adhered to.
What we do inspect ?
As an independent inspection body, relying in part on our testing and quality control laboratories, we verify:
- the quality of the execution of the works (milling thickness, substrate cleanliness, compaction, etc.), including the in-situ characteristics of the pavement:
- longitudinal evenness;
- skid resistance and macrotexture;
- retro-reflectivity of road markings (paint);
- the characteristics of the materials used, based on tests carried out by our control and testing laboratories
- the quality of the execution of the works (milling thickness, substrate cleanliness, compaction, etc.), including the in-situ characteristics of the pavement:
TESTING AND QUALITY CONTROL LABORATORY
Objective
Thanks to our network of control and testing laboratories across France, we are able to inspect and test the characteristics of infrastructure materials and study their behavior.
What tests can be carried out?
Thanks to our laboratories, we are able to perform inspections and testing on:
- asphalt mixes;
- bitumen;
- emulsions;
- aggregates;
- concrete;
- cement;
- and soils.
Links with our other services
Our testing and control laboratories support several of our other services, including:
- independent inspection (testing of materials used, density control, etc.);
- external quality control (testing of materials used, density control, etc.);
- diagnostics (testing on cores, binder recovery, aging tests on binders, etc.);
- CE marking (material testing in accordance with CE standards).
EXTERNAL QUALITY CONTROL
Objective
When a construction company needs to carry out quality control on the sites where it operates, it may call on an external company to perform internal checks—this is referred to as external quality control.
We can provide our resources and teams to carry out external quality control for construction companies, provided that our teams are not already involved in the same project for which we are appointed.

OBTAINING CE MARKING
Objective
Relying on our control and testing laboratories, we carry out regular annual production monitoring for asphalt plants, quarries, etc., on materials subject to CE marking: bitumen, emulsions, cements, asphalt mixes, and aggregates. The consistency of the results obtained (over a given period and a minimum number of tests) makes it possible to classify the quality of the various characteristics of the tested material, declare its properties, and, where applicable, affix a CE label.
We also support civil engineering material manufacturers in quality management: we assist them in drafting their quality manual in compliance with CE marking requirements, and we support them in conducting their audits.
